Lagwenna Mingilton – LADY PANTHERS VARSITY HEAD COACH Coach LaGwenna Mingilton is in her third year as head coach of the Lady Panthers basketball team. Overall,
she is in her tenth year of coaching, five as a head coach. Her first head coaching job was at JJ Pearce High School in Richardson
(2005-2007). LaGwenna is a graduate of Westwood High School in Palestine, Texas where she played volleyball, basketball, and
ran track. She continued her education and athletics at Lon Morris College in Jacksonville, Texas earning
her associates degree in science and playing volleyball. Coach Mingilton finished her education at Sul
Ross State University in Alpine, Texas where she obtained her bachelors degree in kinesiology, played volleyball and competed
in the heptathlon in track & field. She currently teaches health education and team sports at Plano East. Her hobbies
include: scrapbooking, painting, jigsaw puzzles, and her women’s basketball league (which took 1st place
this summer) J
Larry Haidsiak – Varsity Assistant Larry Haidsiak, girls varsity assistant, graduated
from Hastings College in Nebraska. This is his 36th year coaching basketball, 33 of those years in girls
basketball. He has experience as a head coach, varsity assistant, jv coach, freshman coach, and eighth grade coach.
Larry is beginning his 7th year coaching basketball and fourth year teaching math at Plano East. He
recently got married to Pattie in October. Larry has a daughter, Chantal, son-in-law Dave, step grandchildren
Gabrielle and Gage, and son Jonathan.
Katrina Robinson – JV Head Coach Coach Katrina Robinson is in her 2nd year coaching
at Plano East. She is a graduate of South Grand Prairie High School in Grand Prairie, Texas.
During her time in high school she played 2 years of volleyball and 4 years of basketball. Katrina
continued her education for free at the University of Texas at Austin where she received a full scholarship to play
basketball. She earned a BA in Sociology and minored in Education. Katrina currently
teaches American Sign Language levels I and II at Plano East. Her hobbies are, watching all of her DVR’d
shows, eating, and going to the movies!
